VISA VERSA – International Open Call for Short Film Scripts
von: cinema-drive-in; aufgeschaltet am 06.10.2026 16:30
What happens to love when borders get in the way?
VISA VERSA is an international feature film project made up of short love stories from different countries and cultures – all connected by the strange, frustrating, funny, painful and sometimes absurd realities of immigration.
Following the production of the first VISA VERSA short film in Madrid, we are now looking for filmmakers and screenwriters from around the world.
We are looking for original short film scripts exploring love and relationships across cultures and borders, where immigration systems aren't just part of the background, but part of the story.
Selected scripts will have the opportunity to be developed and produced as part of VISA VERSA, with the individual short films ultimately coming together to form one international anthology feature.
If you have a story that could only happen because borders exist, we'd love to read it.
Deadline: 31 December 2026
Full guidelines, submission details and the first VISA VERSA short film can be found on our website.
